Jerome Reuter's music project ROME has more in common with Ukraine than the occasional guest appearance. Since 2015, the Luxembourg singer-songwriter has regularly traveled to the country for concerts on his European tours. This was also the case in February 2022, when Reuter performed solo shows in Kyiv and Odessa just a few days before the major Russian invasion, despite drastic travel warnings.
This album seems in many ways to be the culmination of all of Reuter's previous work, as if the last two decades have been just the training ground for this moment in European history. In more than 50 official releases, including some 20 studio albums, live sessions and various other official releases, ROME has managed to create an artistic world all of its own and build a strong and loyal following in Europe and around the world.
