Seven years ago, Tomas Petterson began writing the masterpiece of Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio. Now it is finally finished: an album that pushes the boundaries of neofolk with exuberant musicality and deep, poetic words. "Let's Play" is more than the next album by this extraordinary band, it is a reach for the stars and an artistic manifesto in sound. The long composition time reflects the otherworldly aspirations of composer Tomas: "I see "Let's Play" as the final version of Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio. My cruel mistress, my white whale. And finally, 7 years after its genesis, after countless obstacles and surprises, it is finally over." And indeed, where "Songs 4 Hate & Devotion" and "Vision:Libertine" left off, "Let's Play" is just beginning: Between darkness and sinful aroma, between sex and death, the songs are more playful, freer and yet more serious and focused than ever before. The band calls their music Apocalyptic Pop, and the end of the world has never tasted sweeter.
